SBH Taro Beach Hotel

An amazing hotel with great views and access to the beach. All the staff (bar, kitchen,waiters)are really friendly, polite and do everything to make your stay enjoyable. The reception staff are really caring and helpful. When I wasn't feeling well they were always attending and doing all they could to help. The entertainment team was amazing during the day but there wasn't much going on in the evenings. Quite boring in the bar. Food was the best of all the other hotels I stayed in. The only downside is that by the pool there isn't enough sun loungers. There is no kettle in the room but if you ask in the reception they will give it to you. They also have a beach bar where you can sit in the shade for a moment to enjoy the seaview. All together it was an amazing holiday, despite the last few days I wasn't well, but I will definitely go back there ☺️

First of all, this is officially a 4-star hotel — and I’m reviewing it accordingly. Location: Great — right on the beachfront. Lots of souvenir shops nearby. About 100m away there’s an “African market” a few times a week with good deals on souvenirs. Room: At first, we got a very poor room with a terrible view. After speaking to reception, we were moved to a much better one — quickly and without fuss. Only sharing photos of the new room — the issue was resolved promptly. Service: Staff is polite and friendly. Housekeeping was inconsistent: sometimes excellent (even without tips), sometimes very poor (even with tips). But reception always helped fix it. The hotel manager regularly checks in with guests — that’s a big plus. Food: Very good for a 4-star. Meat, fish, fruit, cold cuts, ice cream. Sparkling wine at breakfast every other day. Full self-service; waiters only clear tables — and they did so with varying efficiency. Entertainment: The animation team was amazing — full of energy all day long. Great with both kids and adults. Big thanks to Paolo and Suzy! Other notes: Guests are allowed to take food and drinks outside the restaurant. Dish return bins are placed around the hotel. Tide schedules available at reception — useful for beach walks or surfing. Wi-Fi is weak — but that’s probably a good thing on Fuerteventura. Conclusion: Very good value for money. I can definitely recommend SBH Taro Beach.

The stay could be quite great if not situation with theft. Few things disappeared from the wardrobe. In the middle the stay, this situation was reported to the reception. No one checked anything, no one reacted, at the end we did not even hear a word of apology. We asked many times reception if the maybe check and maybe know something. We felt ignored until the end, which is unpleasant for us. On other topics, the hotel guests are 80% German, as are the entire area. Low level of entertainment. The rooms need renovation and are very old and worn, but are clean. On the plus side: the hotel is located in a very nice area. The entire surroundings of the hotel are very nice. Right next to the hotel is a beach, beautiful views. The service in the restaurant was always smiling, the same at the bar. So for their I could get the best opinion. The food was very good. Lunches were worse, but dinner was very good. If not situation with theft and if we had heard any apology, I would have rated the stay much better.
