Scalini Palace

STAIRS!!! Just an fyi, there's no elevator and if your on the top floor, your walking up 4 fights of steep stairs. You can't beat the location though and the breakfast is actually really good but they start at 7:30. The view is amazing

The hotel is located in the heart of Dubrownik within a short distance walk to main historic attractions and the old harbor. It is also easily accessible from the main street Stradun and does not require walking through high steps as majority Dubrownik accommodations do. There are also good restaurants around the hotel to try very good local food. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The room service is done every day. It's a perfect accomodation for a short and long stay. Every room has a small kitchen and a nice and clean bathroom. Highly recommended and great value for the money.

You are exclusively paying for location with this hotel. There is no help with bags on your long journey, no amenities, and 1 person working at the desk who basically just shows you to your room. Breakfast served to the room was good. Room was fine, nothing special. Location is in the middle of old town. We were only there for 1 night during a Croatia trip. My somewhat negative review is mostly due to the price point for what you get. At 450 EU/ $524 per night you expect a somewhat elevated experience and we certainly did not receive elevated accommodations or service. It felt like an Airbnb that served breakfast. Perhaps booking by through a 3rd party which advertises their rooms for much cheaper would make the hotel a better value. When I went to leave this review there were dozens of links to third parties with rooms starting at 225EU. I booked direct and apparently paid top dollar. At 225 EU per night, the lack of service and amenities would be a great trade off for location.
