Perfect central location with parking underground. Staff were very nice and helpful. The food at the hotel restaurant was very nice and we were looked after with so much kindeness and attention. My friend uses Scandic hotels regularly and for some reason they upgraded our rooms. There is a sauna IN MY ROOM. I didn't even notice at first. I had to try it! Very much recommend it.

Fair hotel in heart of Kuopio. We travelled with a group of 20 pax. Entrance door is bit confusing, as it looks like you're entering hallway of residential building. When passing through this hallway, there ia the (small front desk), basically as part of the bar. Check-in went OK. There are (only) two elevators. The room is quite spacious, high ceiling, enough space to open suitcase, to have a seats on the couch, or even on the terrace, which my room had 😉. The bathroom was bit different than usual, as the bath tub was not built-in. When using the shower (standing in the bath), it made loud noise as water splashed to the metal of the tub, resonating and a fair quantity of water getting outside of the tub. Sound proof rooms, good bed, good mattress. Breakfast was good as in almost all Scandic hotels. The check-out was a quick, but during check-in time 15:00/17:00 guests have to way far too long, as the same person also serves drinks at the bar. The hotel itself could use renovation.
