The area around the hotel is very beautiful and peaceful. There’s a big supermarket right across the street, which was really convenient. It’s also easy to get to the main attractions — the location is great. We drove here and really appreciated the underground parking. The room was very quiet, even though there were many other guests staying that night — we didn’t hear any noise at all. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay!
The stay(bed and quilt,space) was comfortable. If it is a 4-star hotel, some comments raised. There is no fridge.. If there are any instructions about how to use the air conditioner, it could be better. If some sockets in the room are not out of usage, it could be better. The view is limited from the room because of the platform on the 3rd floor. No access/door there :) The toilet is with sensor lights, cool but would be good to tell/instruct somewhere. The check in is not so convenient since you have to fill in forms even if you have booked the room. Tiring especially when you booked several rooms for the family, because you need to fill one form for each room… you have to agree with paying for extra fee during the stay in the checkin process. The food is ok, level as all hotels do. Busy time after 8 during breakfast but the service is good and you can still find available tables. Not too severe problems, but based on the price, experience and so-called 4-stars hotel, I would rate it as 3-stars. As the family suggests, 4-stars as the final result.
We stayed in this hotel many times before, but now the experience was very different. Breakfast, what Scandic hotels have been known about, is being charged extra and the offer and quality is not the same as before. Restaurant is closed in the summer, so dinner either somewhere else or you can have "summer bufee" which is not worth the price almost NOK 400/person. It is shame during the summer when the hotel is full. Parking fee is also quite high. Next time in Oslo we'll consider different by hotel chain.
