Scandic Helsinki Aviapolis

We decided to get a room here for a 7 hour wait. We had some medical reason to do this but we found the overnight rate reasonable enough. Though unexpectedly there was no tea making facilities in our room. There was a safe and a fridge. The staff were most friendly and accommodating in getting me my cuppa to solve the tea making issue. The free airport shuttle was simple and easy and ran on schedule. The room was comfortable and I appreciated the recycling options in the room to separate garbage from recycling and also the lack of bottles that I find most wasteful, and was happy to use the big dispensers provided. Tv was good and I plugged in our fire-TV to watch our own shows.

I stayed at Scandic Aviapolis, and the experience was overall very pleasant. The room was clean, modern, and practical. The twin-bed room was spacious, and I particularly appreciated the small desk and mini fridge, which had plenty of space for my own drinks. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and it was nice to be able to open the ventilation window to let in fresh air. Small details like the iron and safe were a nice touch while traveling. The bathroom was clean and functional, though a bit basic, but it had everything I needed. The breakfast buffet was a definite highlight! There was a wide selection, and I especially enjoyed the fresh bread and fruits. The space had a cozy atmosphere, and the large windows brought in lots of natural light, making the morning even more refreshing. The staff was friendly, and the service was smooth. There’s plenty of paid parking in the hotel’s courtyard, and you pay at an outdoor machine – it was convenient, but a small downside for being paid. The location is excellent for staying near the airport, and a big plus is the free airport shuttle, which made traveling really seamless. The room lacked a bit of personality, but overall, the price-to-quality ratio was spot on. I recommend it if you’re looking for convenient and reliable accommodation in the Aviapolis area!

Simple but clean rooms and welcoming staff. Good breakfast and great airport delivery service that starts at 4am. Great option if you have an early morning flight.
