During my holiday in Helsinki, I stayed at Scandic Helsinki Hub – and I couldn’t have made a better choice. The hotel impressed me right from the entrance with its beautiful Nordic-style interior: minimalist, elegant, and cozy at the same time. My room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed that felt like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was modern and clean, with a lovely design. The entire hotel is well-equipped, offering plenty of inviting seating areas perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. Every morning, I enjoyed a rich and delicious breakfast – the selection was excellent, from fresh pastries to healthy options and local specialties. As a bonus, the hotel features a sauna, which was perfect after a day exploring the city, and a well-equipped gym where you can easily train your whole body.
Very Scandinavian hotel. I loved the dry sauna!!! There is a unisex resting space in between men's and women's to rest and cool off with water. I love how they provided all sized towels, and the lockers were programmable by password. The fitness room is the largest and most equipped I've seen including a separate yoga room! The breakfast was an amazing spread! Blackout curtains were amazing and we had a view of the cathedral. Just be warned, they don't have a phone in the room. And behind the mirror is where the laundry bag is. I highly highly recommend!
The location of the hotel is excellent – central and convenient for everything. However, cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The rooms are definitely not vacuumed, which might be part of the hotel's concept, but it doesn’t make for a pleasant stay. There were also no bathroom amenities provided, and there was barely any space to place personal items. Overall, the basics were lacking.
