Scandic München Macherei

Very modern clean hotel. Super quiet. A bit too modern. No phone in the room. You have to use your own phone with the app to call the reception. Very little storage space especially the bathroom. No amenities, not even a box of tissue paper. Supermarkets nearby so it wasn’t a big problem. Location is excellent with Tram right outside. Old town is about 15 min tram ride away. Multiple well stocked grocery stores within 5 minutes walk. Not a lot of restaurants near by except middle eastern food. Staff is wonderful. House keeping is excellent. Would stay here again. Recommend.

Spacious modern room (with the upgrade we had); good size bathroom and shower; large comfortable bed; lots of hanging space and hooks which we always appreciate; very helpful and friendly receptionist team; close to good restaurants and cafe in the area and a laundromat; 30min walk into "old town" and a tram station is right outside; parking was not difficult (we had motorbikes) but it was over a weekend. Parking will be an issue / expensive if staying over weekdays; expensive bar so we went out to nearby bars

Great hotel for a decent price in Munich. Comfy beds and nicely decorated, with amazing block out blinds. Breakfast was good but nothing special, the fresh juice station was very good though. Try to get there before 9am though, as it gets VERY busy at breakfast. It's a bit out of the city centre too but easy enough to reach via tram. All in all, a pleasant stay with very friendly staff.
