Scandic Rubinen

A great Scandic in a good location! The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and everything felt well-managed. We had requested a room on a higher floor and were really happy with the one we got—it had a lovely view of the sky, which made the stay even more relaxing. During my stay I asked the reception for a fan since the one in our room wasn’t working. Even though it was late, the staff member went out of his way to sort it out, doing a bit of creative problem-solving to make it work—really appreciated that effort! Breakfast was the classic, reliable Scandic kind—no complaints there. I also asked about allergens, and the staff were super helpful and knowledgeable, which made me feel safe and well taken care of. Would definitely stay again!

Nice hotel with good level of standard. Breakfast was excellent. Roof top had a great view! The only downside is that some rooms have their windows toward the very, very, very noisy street and the Rock bar.

Great location however: lovely but inexperienced staff, the slowest check in I’ve ever had (over an hour), four attempts to give us the right room and a key that works, dirty curtains/scuffed wall in room and so loud in communal spaces. Our room was on the top floor which also had a roof bar. This meant that members of the public could access the floor and get right outside our room with no key. Didn’t make us feel safe. The bar itself was unusable to us as hotel guests; it was very loud and full of tragic wannabe hipsters enjoying the faux Ibiza beach bar vibes. Truly awful.
