A stylish new hotel on the edge of inner city Copenhagen. It’s about 10 minutes walk to the edge of the touristy areas. Close to the harbour front so good for nice walks / jogging. Big 24 hour reception with plenty of seating for waiting in. Free wifi throughout. Buffet breakfast that’s busy but pretty good. Lovely natural light in rooms even those on lower levels. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Some oddities though like the laundry service running entirely from the front desk (no direct laundry drop off or pick up). I’d be glad to stay again.
We were extremely disappointed with the service provided at the hotel. Our stay at this hotel was a series of unpleasant surprises. First, I have never been charged for luggage storage at a hotel. Even when it comes to a hotel where I do not stay overnight but come as a guest of a meeting, luggage storage is part of the free service that is included. The second and biggest disappointment is the fact that the hotel is surrounded by false windows, i.e. windows that do not open. This is only for people who are comfortable with being confined with artificial ventilation. This information should be clearly stated when booking so that people know in advance what they are paying for. The family rooms are not big enough for a family. There is also no water kettle and tea and coffee in the room. There is no mini bar. The blinds that are operated via buttons do not work properly (big problem during the summer months when there is no night). Furthermore, the obligation to reserve a breakfast time is also a kind of terror. When we are on vacation with our family, we would like to be relaxed and enjoy the rare days of the year when we can enjoy a natural awakening without having to set the alarm for the hotel breakfast. The fact that the hotel has a swimming pool that is not included in the price and is paid additionally is also irritating, especially the rule that access to the pools is completely prohibited for children. All in all, the price of accommodation at this hotel is far too high for the service you get. This is anything but hospitality!
The location is very good as well as the breakfast. Unfortunately they gave us the wrong room and did not want to change it, we paid for a Superior Plus and they gave us a simple one where the shower does not work, the bathroom has no ventilation, the lights are a disaster, the air conditioning can't be turned off, there is no coffee machine which is why I pay more to have a room a little bit bigger with a coffee machine which didn't happen, leaves much to desired. The manager insisted that this was our room and did not accept the change even though it clearly says on the website that they are different rooms. I honestly wouldn't go back. The Marriott across the street looks better.
