Schloss Breitenfeld Hotel & Tagung

Decent hotel. Nice food. Nothing much near it though

you think according to the pictures you are sleeping in the castle. in reality you sleep around the corner in a normal standard hotel with if you are lucky a view of the castle. then we were confronted with the fact that the restaurant was closed due to illness. without a car, in the middle of nowhere no dinner. so again had to order a taxi to be able to eat. service of the hotel not at all. after dinner back by taxi to the standard hotel "schloss breitenfeld" which is not a schloss. arrives hotel 20.55 hrs. bar would be open until 21.00 hrs. by the only staff present was informed that the bar was closed. unfortunately peanut butter. then went to the hotel room and went to bed early. no I had imagined this differently. no more "Schloss Breitenfeld" for me 👎🫣

The photos are far away from reality. They have an old building and a castle, and they mainly use castle photos, primarily if you use booking websites. Both castle and the other building are in the take-off/landing leg of the airport, and it seems it is a busy airport, so you have aircraft sound the whole night. In summer, you cannot close the windows as it becomes warm inside the room. There is a language barrier, so do not expect understandable English from the staff. I asked for an air conditioner (see attached photos), and instead, I got a small pedestal fan, and I have been told, “We German call it an air conditioner” 😨😨😶‍🌫️ No bathrobe, no bath flip-flop, plastic glasses in the bathroom, no coffee machine, no air conditioners, just a room in the middle of nowhere with a super high price. Very unpleasant and unwelcome experience.
