Schloss Freudenstein

My husband and I stayed here one night while touring through South Tyrol. We absolutely loved it and found it very charming with so much character. Our room was ridiculously spacious and very comfortable. The castle has been restored and maintained excellently! The town below is so stinking adorable and we had a very delicious bite to eat for a late lunch at the pizzeria. The pool is overlooking the lush landscape with the town/city of Bolzano in the distance. We thought how lovely it would be to return and rent out the entire castle for a special occasion with loved ones. We had a nice time playing a little golf too! We would absolutely recommend this place and come back again!

We got married at Schloss Freudenstein on August 3rd, 2024, and had a get-together the day before at Ansitz Zinnenberg. Both days were absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. The decorations and flowers were beautiful, exactly what we envisioned. What really made everything special, though, was the staff. They were super friendly, always there when we needed them, and nothing was too much trouble. They all did a fantastic job, and we’re so grateful. A big thank you to Marion and her team for making everything possible. They were amazing—always available, helping with the ceremony, coordinating with all the vendors, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to them, we had our dream wedding. We can’t recommend Schloss Freudenstein enough as a wedding location. The venue is versatile and flexible, allowing us to make everything personal and just how we wanted. Beyond being a perfect wedding venue, Schloss Freudenstein is also an excellent choice as a hotel. Each room is lovingly decorated down to the smallest detail and simply beautiful. The breakfast is outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you're ever in the South Tyrol area, Schloss Freudenstein is a must-visit. The breathtaking view of the South Tyrolean vineyards from the castle is absolutely stunning and worth the stop. Whether you're planning a wedding, looking for a unique place to stay, or simply want to enjoy an unforgettable view, Schloss Freudenstein is the place to be.
