Bottom line upfront: "A true Pearl of Thuringian Forest"! The castle is located close enough to Autobahn (if you can survive "Baustelle"). Great place to stay, organize or participate into social events (weddings, corporate events, etc.), dining (and "breakfasting") out. Staff is very friendly and helpful without obsequiousness and importunity. Unexpectedly spacious parking by the southern castle wall. Make reservations for anything ahead of time!
