Schlosshotel Rosenegg

A quirky rabbit warren of a place. We loved it! Located in a former castle over 3 floors and miles of corridors in different blocks. Staff couldn't have been better. Excellent, friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Buffet meals at breakfast and evening sometimes involved a wait for our group of 5, but free drinks provided when this happened. Vast range of options at mealtimes. Located v close to bus stops to ski slopes (5mins journey). Free travel on buses and trains in the area with your guest card from the hotel. Spacious rooms. Only downside was a very noisy extractor fan in the bathroom. Hardly worth mentioning in the context of a very enjoyable stay.

Stayed over Christmas 2024 Reception staff were very helpful and friendly Room was lovely though a little tired, but the toilet had a stail urine smell that got worse as the week went on to the point I had to buy cleaning products to try and get rid of the smell but it didn't help. Pool was very cold, and the jacuzzi was an inflatable one Meals - Breakfast where great plenty choice and dairy alternatives available included Soya and oat milk Evening meal - first night we managed to catch the eye of a water to order drinks mid-way through our meal, but no such luck on Christmas day when we were never asked if we wanted to order drinks. I understand they were busy but if you have to book a time slot to eat then you expect food to be available, Christmas day again and some options were not available when asked we were told 10 minute wait. 30 minutes later nothing had turned up so we gave up.

Quaint and very worn hotel. Well located in relation to various activities nearby. The rooms are very worn but were clean upon arrival. The hotel's restaurant was very busy but served okay food. The hotel's bar was cozy and had friendly staff."
