Schlossvilla Miralago

Miralago is our favorite place at the Worthersee and we only take our very special friends here. It's one of those rare hotels with a special personal touch. It's a gorgeous spot where you still feel the classic Austrian spirit. The rooms are beautifully decorated and it feels like you're visiting your Austrian grand aunt. The staff is extremely nice but they are not running a typical hotel with typical hotel service. Everything works out just fine when you appreciate this south-Austrian mood with some patience. The food and wine is incredible good. There are many fancy and totally overrated restaurants at Worthersee where you get less quality for your money and where it's noisy and crowdy. At Miralago you have a private dining experience when the weather is nice and you can sit outside. The tables have some distance to each other, you can enjoy a wonderful view and it's quiet and relaxed. Orders take a while, sometimes they forget to bring things but again, you go there to relax and to enjoy a personal spirit and delicious food. It's actually more fun if not everything is so over-perfect. The things that really matter are more than perfect at Miralago.

Went there to plan a wedding. Owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, and forthcoming. The hotel is very small and reminds of a 5 star bed&breakfast. Location is amazing, the views are priceless.

Such a lovely place! It's directly at the lake, the view is amazing and the food outstanding. Its not that great for swimming though.
