This was my favorite hotel during my stay in Germany. The beds were softer than normal German beds. Having a full kitchen was a delight and the location was a short drive to downtown. The continental breakfast was much better than expected. Many pilots seem to prefer this hotel as well.
The rooms are spacious, light and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is good. Kitchen is oke but don't expect a lot of kitchen tools. The rooms at the front of the Appartementhotel are next to a busy road, opening the windows results in a lot of traffic noise, If possible ask for a room at the back. Wifi and parking space are free, you can buy coins for using the washing machine which is situated in the cellar. There are buses which will bring you to the center of Trier in about half an hour. If you came by car it will take you 15 minutes to one of the centre parking garages. There is a good app with available free parking spaces in Trier. (Parken in Trier)
Clean, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Great value overall. Check-in was a little confusing with the lockboxes and the no reception after 12:00pm, but we worked it out over a phone call and all was good after that.
