We completed an 8-day circular hiking tour, the Bernina Trek, with my wife and our two dogs, starting and ending at Hotel Schweizerhaus. From the first contact, Dénes welcomed us warmly and was extremely helpful, providing valuable local tips and recommendations that proved to be very useful during our hike. After eight days on the trail, it was a real pleasure to return and finally relax at Hotel Schweizerhaus. Our dogs were also very comfortable — we could leave them resting in the room with full peace of mind. What truly crowned the end of our adventure was meeting Krisztián, who served us dinner, and later that evening we enjoyed a great time chatting with both Dénes and Krisztián at the bar. All in all, it was an excellent experience in every way — highly recommended!
After a long walk over the lake an excellent location for a local lunch
The food here is excellent. Everything is delicious. The service is accommodating to my picky tastes. There are plenty of vegetarian choices, though I decided to be a little relaxed on being vegan. (Didn't stay in hotel so didn't review the rooms)
