Science Hotel

I booked family room which had one huge double bed and a bunk bed for the kids. Location is perfect, almost in city center, but far enough to be in quiet area. You can book underground private parking, which is also good for bigger family cars. Breakfast is magnificent with variety of food, coffee and juice. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. If you need a place to stay in Szeged, this hotel must be your first choice!

First, I want to appointed that this is a good-will suggestion cause think that this hotel have potential. I was there 4 nights with daughter. Hotel is on excellent location regarding all places which you need to see at Szeged. Stuff is kind, but in some situation not very helpful. Just as suggestion, front desk stuff has to know at least to explain where is a nearest exchange office. They seems to be a little confused about any question that is out of regular check in - check out business. Guests need much more information and you at front desk are the first line of hospitality, please inform yourself and be a good receptionist. Next, we barely have wifi signal in room. Also, I try twice to get information about this issue from receptionist but both time get almost generic answer that "hotel have a wifi network name X with password Y, did you try that?". Please think about adding a repeater at every floor. And, in 5 days nobody enter our room regarding cleaning. Simple vacuuming and emptying a trash can will be enough. Breakfast is buffet but not to much to choose, some less spicy food will be good choice for children. Looks like it is catering and they make a impression that want to end everything as soon as possible. The beds are huge and comfortable, the TV is small compared to the room and the program selection is poor, no satellite as advertised. And at end, I had to comment other guest comment about a dog. I understand "pet friendly" but there must be a limitation. Dogs has to have a leash and basket. They owner is responsible, yes, but after byte that is not a matter, right? Dogs can't have more rights then children and that is responsibility of the owner of facility, to be clear with dog owner about rules - yes, pet friendly, salute that, but with limitation. Again, consider all of this as suggestion for improvement. Good luck in future.

although we really enjoyed staying at this hotel in 2024, sadly, i can‘t say the same for this year. the hotel has (probably ever since they opened the new building) lost its cleaniness. the bathrooms were pretty tidy but the rest of the room almost looked like it had not been cleaned. we found lots of dirty spots on the balcony as well as the floors which looked like they had not been vacuumed. even though the staff at the reception was nice, they could not help us with a parking place. we had to find a nearly street to park at by ourselves. we enjoyed the breakfast but will probably not visit again.
