Scores Hotel

The Scores Hotel is in a beautiful position in St Andrews and our room had a lovely sea view. The room was beautifully decorated , and the bed comfortable, although I think the mattress was a little saggy in the middle. We have enjoyed breakfast on a previous occasion and the choice is very varied, but we didn't need breakfast on this occasion. I can recommend this hotel and would stay again. The complimentary shortbread is fabulous!

Had a great overnight at the Scores Hotel. Staff very professional and helpful. We got an unexpected upgrade which was nice. Decor is a bit outdated but should be lovely after refurb. Location and views more than make up. Nice breakfast, plenty of variety and freshly made hot choices. Good service. Would come back

The location of this hotel is incredible. It’s at the 1st tee box on the Old Course so easy to get anywhere. I personally prefer this location over the Old Course Hotel as it’s right in town where all the fun restaurants and pubs are. Night one was horrendous. It was 75 degrees outside but the hotel had the heat on. We had our radiators turned off but our room was SO SO hot. I went downstairs twice in the night to get a fan or figure out a solution but there wasn’t a receptionist. It was not a good nights sleep and it was frustrating that no one could help me. The next morning I went down and requested a fan. This was a game changer. The room was significantly cooler and more comfortable. The hotel should put fans in every room rather than making guests request them. By the time we request fans, we’re not happy!!! This hotel is dated, but that’s pretty normal in Europe. It would be nice to have sheets with a higher thread count. I’d also have loved to see a fridge in the rooms.
