The best boutique hotel in Israel. hotel with a lot of good atmosphere, the best food, the service, the view of the Kinneret and the best spa there is. The price is not cheap but worth every shekel. highly recommended
We have stayed in this hotel 6 times, I think it says a lot… The hotel is actually a resort, its buildings are surrounded by beautiful tranquil gardens, there’s a lovely clean spa and a relaxing outdoor swimming pool with a great quality drinks and snack bar. We stayed in the antique and deluxe rooms, both types are clean and tastefully decorated. Beds are super comfortable. Smart TV, a mineral water and an espresso machines can be found in the rooms. The only downside is the old fashioned hair dryer in the bathroom. Culinary wise this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Israel: breakfast and dinner food is of top quality and taste.Food is not kosher, but varied, a mixture of European and Middle Eastern dishes, fresh salads and appetizers, and amazing desserts. If you are a foodie you must stay in this hotel, this is not one of the industrialized tasteless hotel restaurants you see in the country. Plus the hotel’s restaurant has a great romantic ambiance. In the evening head to one of the other 2 hotel bars: the one that’s on the lobby floor and serves a variety of drinks and many types of Whiskey,or the stunning magical wine bar. Both also serve very tasty dishes. Make sure to book a table as the wine bar is very popular among people outside of the hotel.Last but not least I couldn’t praise enough the amazing noble, polite, kind and efficient staff who contribute to the hotel’s uniqueness. If you are an adult couple/friends don’t think twice and make a reservation.
Tiberias is not a nice city but The Scots is an oasis overlooking the Sea of Galilee. The grounds are beautiful and so is the pool. The staff is accommodating and customer-forward. Our two big complains for such an expensive hotel: 1) the bed was horrible and very uncomfortable. The hotel did not have a mattress topper and had no solutions for us. 2) the food is just average -- they tried but not hard enough. Considering the food in Israel is generally amazing we were very disappointed.
