Sea Cruise Hotel

The rooms are large and new. My only remark is that the elevators are incredibly slow. The hotel is sitting along the sea and is very close to Abi-village and the main street(s) of Sokcho.

Got the partial sea view room on the 19th floor. Saw the sunrise once and it was epic. The room itself was a little small, a few more inches here and there would do wonders. Also the lack of drawers was odd. We stayed a week and had 2 luggage bags and had to put our clothes on the desk. I'll have to review the buffet as it was part of my room packed. The selection of food and quality was not good and the menu never changed. Sometimes everything was just cold. Definitely not worth the extra charge but it did offer convenience so there is that. Overall it's been positive at the sea view hotel. I would consider staying again.

Had to wait almost an hour to get on the elevator, just to finally get to our room and have the room key not work. Wound up waiting another 10-15 min in a dimly lit and hot hallway for someone to let us in. Finally enter into our tiny room with lightly stained sheets and towels. Thankfully, we only had to stay here for one night... One plus - staff was very polite and apologetic for the issues. Staff/service: 4 stars Room: 2 stars (which, I feel, is generous) Ridiculous elevator wait time, room key issue, and dimly lit and hot hallway: -3 stars
