This place was a super great surprise. It is very well located allowing you to walk around the town and very close by car to the best beaches. People is very nice and friendly. The rooms are good and wide and we were super lucky to stay at a front one where we had a small balcony that is great for an evening relax drink and conversation! Breakfast is also very good and with a lot of variety. I truly recommend it and will for sure stay there again on a next visit to Peniche.

Our stay at this hotel was acceptable overall, but we encountered a significant issue. While the hotel is fine for a short stay, we were overwhelmed by the strong scent of perfume in the rooms, bedding, and throughout the hotel. The scent was so intense that our clothes smelled like bubble gum after just one night. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to strong perfumes—while I can handle mild scents, this was excessive. When we brought this up with the receptionist, she seemed surprised that we didn’t like the fragrance and wasn’t particularly sympathetic. We requested fresh bedding that hadn’t been sprayed, and while we had to change it ourselves since the receptionist was the only staff member available, that part wasn’t an issue. What really upset us was her response to my allergy: "You should have mentioned that when you booked." We explained that, as world travelers, we’ve never encountered this problem before, but it seemed she didn’t fully grasp that allergies can be serious. If you’re sensitive to strong smells or dislike the constant scent of bubble gum, I’d recommend avoiding this hotel. On a positive note, the breakfast offered good variety. However, parking is inconvenient; it’s on the street in front of the hotel, and you need to pay €1 every two hours if you manage to find a spot.
