Sea View Garden Hotel Tianjin

洽公入住的。簡簡單單的商務旅館有點歲月了、早餐是簡單中式的在4樓、床稍微偏硬、簡單備品都有、熱水供應快速。

Though there are no shopping malls within walking distance, cabs are easily flagged down just outside the hotel. The breakfast is served Chinese style with porridge and some preserved vegetables. Not very appetising if you like western or international buffet breakfast like me. The atm inside the hotel broke down but luckily there are banks and ATMs just opposite the hotel, across the road. The only snag is that you need to walk about 80m and use the overhead bridge. The hotel doesn't accept VISA or MasterCard transactions. That's why I had to withdraw more cash to pay for the stay. Nearby, there is building construction going on and on some nights, the piling noise can be heard till as late as 11pm. There isn't any convenience shops nearby so you need to grab supplies when you are out at the malls. The hotel front is facing a highway, so traffic noise is expected. My room was facing away from the highway. However, you can see the construction site from the window. Staff at the hotel are very helpful and that is the key factor to offset all the other inconveniences. I would still consider coming back here to stay in future. Do note that not all hotels in Tianjin accept foreigners. I booked another hotel initially but was referred to the Sea View Garden Hotel instead as the initial hotel only accepts locals. My 5-day stay here with a king-sized bed cost 3000yuan including a 500 yuan refundable deposit.
