The price we paid did not match our overall experience. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning as there were many lizard droppings. It also rained every night during our stay, and the roof in the dining area had holes, which caused water to drip inside. The sofa by the pool had stains. The road leading to the resort is not yet cemented, so the tuktuk ride was uncomfortable due to the potholes. During rainy days, walking was also difficult because of the muddy puddles. On the positive side, the pool was nice and clean, the surroundings were quiet, and the kitchen was well equipped with plates and utensils. The coffee service was also good. Overall, the resort has a lot of potential, but it would benefit greatly from better cleaning and maintenance.
We stayed at Sea Club Siargao from August 12 to 16, 2025. Positive Aspects: - The private pool was excellent and provided the perfect setting for bonding and relaxing with friends and family. - The coffee housekeeping service was impressive, and the staff handling this service were consistently friendly and cheerful. - Our room was very spacious, allowing us to move around comfortably even with several pieces of luggage. - Each villa was provided with large, sturdy umbrellas, which were extremely helpful during heavy rains. - The kitchen was fully equipped with cooking appliances, plates, and utensils, making it convenient for us to prepare our own meals. - The common area was very spacious and open, allowing plenty of natural light and fresh air, which enhanced our overall experience. Areas for Improvement: - The road leading to the hotel requires significant improvement; the rough road makes travel difficult and results in higher transportation costs, as tricycle drivers charge more to bring guests to the resort. Walking is also not an option during rainy weather due to flooding. - The water pressure in the shower was inadequate, often only providing a light sprinkle, and hot water was unavailable. The in-room toilet would benefit from an upgrade. - Housekeeping services required multiple follow-ups for requests such as unclogging the toilet, retrieving lost items, and refilling water. - During rain, water leaks from the ceiling into the common area, making it difficult to use the dining table and other shared spaces. - The hotel’s actual appearance does not fully match the photos online. The property would benefit from renovations and better maintenance, as some areas appear dated and less clean. - The in-house dining options were somewhat overpriced considering the meal offerings available. -The internet connection is intermittent and while it is not particularly slow, it is not very fast either. Guests who require a stable connection for urgent work may want to take this into consideration. - The hotel manager tended to respond emotionally to concerns, focusing on defending the property rather than addressing issues constructively. I recommend a more solution-oriented and objective approach to guest concerns. Overall Impression: While I enjoyed my stay with friends, primarily due to the spacious and open common areas, I found the overall experience somewhat underwhelming considering the price. The value provided does not fully justify the cost. With improvements in facilities, maintenance, and guest service, Sea Club Siargao could offer a much better experience for its guests.
We stayed in one of the villas for one week. At first it felt amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The villa looked great. The pool was great for the kids. But it quickly went bad from there: 1. we had to move rooms as the toilet was broken in the master bedroom. Because the hotel was fully booked, we had to wait 2 nights with a leaking toilet (note: there is also no to little water pressure in the shower but this is the case for all rooms) 2. the road to the resort became a major hassle. Drivers did not want to enter and walking was no option neither. It feels embarrassing… 3. overpriced extras. Everything you get from a float for the pool, to yoga mats or having a TV / Movienight, you pay the amount of the item in one day / night. 4. the greediness of management became really visible, following a life threading accident of my child during the hotel organized surfing lessons. We had suppose to certified trainers and catchers, but still my child collided with a rock because of no safety instruction and lack of professionalism of the instructors but still the hotel management denies any responsibility (even we have shown them the video evidence). No safety protocol, no safety instructions, no licenses. Just a family in tears. Greed at its finest. Charging extra 30%-50% but taking no responsibility. Stay away from this hotel - a constant construction site with greedy management and no interest in your well being and safety.
