From the outside, this hotel looks more like the departure lounge of a small airport. However, when you get inside, this is when the full experience begins! The staff are amazing-real people with a real sense of humour. The bar is inviting and friendly and very competitively priced for a hotel. The food is amazing-just amazing and the best I've ever eaten in a hotel. The rooms, specifically the one we stayed in, is spacious, comfortable and has a lovely ambience. A top quality hotel.
We Enjoyed a family birthday celebration and overnight stay in the Seafield. Along with the clean and scenic hotel, the service we experienced was exceptional. All the staff throughout the hotel were extremely friendly and professional and catered to our large group. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Ended up staying as a guest at the hotel while a separate wedding function was ongoing. We were 3 floors above the event hall and were still kept awake from the noise of the live band/DJ until 2 am. I accept that during a wedding there will always be a certain amount of noise that the hotel can't control but this was crazy. For the money we paid, it was disappointing to get so little sleep. When this was raised at check out, it was brushed off by the member of staff. Like other reviews state, the walls are pretty thin and the noise along the corridor travels easily. The 3rd floor rooms have floor to ceiling windows but no A/C so it was quite stuffy even with the windows open. The spa has a really cool design but is starting to show its age, a lot of the jet buttons don't work any more and the steam room wasn't working properly. The changing rooms were spotless, roomy and very modern though. The access to the beach is great and every member of staff that we met was well trained and so helpful. The night porter Gerard kindly came up to our room at 6 am to help get the TV working for our toddler to watch cartoons. Probably wouldn't return which is a pity as the staff were amazing and the place has so much potential to be a top destination hotel.
