Coldplay by candlelight - Saturday night - reception area with live pianist gave us a pleasant area to await the doors opening for the concert. Surprisingly we were not able to order a drink from the floor staff - they all appeared to be very busy and no-one gave us eye contact?! The bar was open in the function room - and a plethora of battery operated candles set a very restful atmosphere. Regretfully it was not possible to purchase drinks using card pay - this could’ve proved embarassing if my partner had no cash!

Not sure what happened today?? Went for lunch. First impression was how cold it was .. as soon as I walked into lobby my friend and I both noticed we felt cold. Another friend joined us a little later and her first words were that it was cold. I sat with my coat on and another coat around legs. Service not great. Slow up take order. My veg burger was very good taste but a bit cold. Sweet potato fries side nice snd hot. I hate to complain but on my last visit a few months ago I thought the service was amazing .. waiters pouring water, very attentive etc. Not today though. We weren’t eating until after 2pm so not really busy then. Would return as maybe just an off day.

Very disappointed in the standard of food and service. Waited too long for our order. Took our relative there as a treat. This was today , 16/07/25. Very over priced. Our roast beef was awful. It was as though it had been taken from a freezer. We will be telling our friends about it. We do not live in this area and are glad we don’t. We are so much better served where we live. So so disappointed. You need to do something about this.
