Guest Reviews 4.1 / 5
1 Star Review Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. We booked for 5 people but the room only accommodated 4, with only four towels provided. At other hotels, a fold-out bed is usually included, but not here. When I went to make up a bed for my daughter on the couch, the blankets were dirty and covered in someone else's hair. The towels provided were extremely worn and had a strange smell to them, and the shower was stained yellow, giving a very unclean feel to the whole room. Housekeeping was also very limited, which only added to the poor experience. Our key cards repeatedly stopped working, which was frustrating. Even more concerning, there was a woman clearly under the influence of drugs who somehow made it into the hotel, with staff chasing her through the halls. The final straw was when our room door broke and wouldn’t lock. We were about to head out when we realized the issue — my husband had to stay behind for two hours while maintenance fixed it. While the staff were friendly, they were also quite dismissive when it came to addressing the issues we experienced. Overall, the experience was unacceptable, and we will not be staying here again.
Unfortunately, our stay here was far from the 4.5-star experience advertised. For the last three nights, our room was not properly cleaned (I understand 1 of the days staff told us that it was not going to be cleaned as it was told in advance, but the other days were no exception). The day that it was cleaned, housekeeping merely tucked in the bed sheets and replaced towels — no actual cleaning took place. The bed linens were never changed, the floors were never vacuumed, and the bathroom was left untouched. We had to repeatedly request basic essentials like toilet paper and towels, which was frustrating and frankly unacceptable. We raised our concerns with reception multiple times, but each time we were met with indifference. It felt like we were haggling just to get the bare minimum service, and our issues were never resolved. The condition of the room was another major letdown — walls were dirty with visible damage that had been neglected for who knows how long. The bathtub was stained yellow and looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in years. Every time we tell them how the room is, they just kept saying “we’ll raise this concern in our system.” To top it all off, the parking situation was extremely dodgy. Accessing the alleyway to park was stressful, with an uneven, poorly maintained road that felt more like a construction zone than a hotel entry. Additionally, why would you put signs up in the elevators to rate the hotel with a 5-star review to encourage guests to obtain a free coffee mug in doing so? I’d rather tell the truth about the hotel than put a fake 5-star review. I don’t understand how this place holds a 4.5-star rating. Based on our experience, it doesn’t come close. Would not recommend. This was an extreme let-down and disappointment to our family trip. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.
I stayed at Seasons Botanic Gardens around three months ago and had an incredibly disappointing experience. The first room I was given was filthy. There were visible stains everywhere, including on the bed sheets. The kitchen table appeared damaged as if it had been burned, and the carpet was in poor condition. After raising my concerns, I was moved to a smaller, darker room that was just as tired and outdated. This second room lacked a desk, even though one was clearly listed in the room description, forcing me to work from the kitchen table instead. I made several complaints at reception throughout my stay, but the staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and at times outright rude. The final straw was discovering that there was no laundry detergent provided, despite there being a washer and dryer in the room. When I asked about it, reception insisted I pay for it, despite everything I had already been through. This is nowhere near a 4-star hotel. It is rundown, poorly maintained, and badly managed. If you're considering staying here, I strongly recommend looking at alternatives nearby like Quest, Oaks or Kinson. You'll likely have a far better experience.
