Secret Gem Suites

We loved this place! Romantic and comfy. Amazing view! The host is very helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Secret Gem Suites. It’s situated in the harbor of Oia which gives a lot of ‘ entertainment’ just to look what’s happening. Our host Nikos was extremely polity and he provided hospitality above all standard. The hazel suite we stayed in had 2 bathrooms, a bedroom in a cave and a living room that provided everything you need. Breakfast was delicious. The catamaran trip he advised was on to recommend to relaxed and see the island from a different view. Taxi can bring you to the harbor or a walk down ( and up) of 300 steps. Good work out!

The accommodation we booked online was far different to what we recieved when arriving at secret gems. The room hadn't been cleaned prior to our visit (crumbs and hair visible around beds/kitchen) and the aircon had a constant leak from the moment it got turned on. A towel was placed under the leaking air con unit, which was quickly soaked in an hour. Within a few hours after, the front entry was puddling with 3mm of water. Not only that, the room had a smell of mould (presumably from the aircon) and visible mould marks on the ceiling in the main bedroom that looked like they have tried to rub off. We expressed our distain with the property manager on site, he admitted the room was not cleaned prior to our arrival and not up to standard. Given the price point of this place, it is a rip off to your customers to not provide a clean room at the bare minimum. This accommodation should be left a secret, and advise everyone to avoid staying at this poorly run accommodation. We had to seek alternative accommodation due to the poor conditions of the room, and have been seeking a refund for a week straight, with little help from management. Hence the reiew, more people need to know about this place for what it is.
