Seehotel Berlin Rangsdorf

The food at Seehotel Rangsdorf was excellent, and the location by the lake is beautiful. However, our experience was affected by unprofessional service from a waitress named Ramona, who seemed to ignore us and wasn’t attentive. With better service, this place could truly shine.

well maintained hotel that probably was enjoying popularity in the past.... overall clean, had all the amenities, restaurant served good food (dinner) but breakfast was rather average... small selection at the buffet. The plus was a view on the lake and calm one can enjoy there....People working there were polite and helpful - good welcoming approach... Everything seemed to work fine.. While the hotel itself was clean, one could tell that the area around, is just nothing special, but probably once it was a thriving, popular destination for Berliners or some other visitors.... area felt depressed... hope I am wrong but it was middle of summer break...and relatively few people..

I would have a hard time giving this place 1 star: it was comfortable, the room was more than decent, the food was good, the area is cute. The beach and Biergarten next door are a convenient way to enjoy the lake. It is a bummer that the boat rental outside was closed. Similarly a bummer that the restaurant closes at 8pm and that there's no on-site wellness other than a sauna, which you must in advance ask to be turned on. For almost 180 EUR a night without any meals included, I would expect more. For half that price, this would be pretty darn great and a truly recommendable escape from Berlin. If you've got the money, go for it! Otherwise, you can find more bang for less elsewhere in Brandenburg.
