Seehotel Billroth

Loved every minute of my stay at the Seehotel Billroth, great rooms, amazing views. Free peddle boats. Close to St Gilgen, St Wolfgang, Cable Car and Cog train. The staff were super super nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

Honestly if this place wasn't so costly, this would be a higher rating. The good...the blonde woman Liesl i think her name, at the desk is great and goes above and beyond. The breakfast is good and the room itself is quite large and well-maintained with a kettle and a decent mini fridge and beach towels. The not so good. .there is no shower. Just a very slippery bathtub and a handheld shower wand. There's no fan offered so one can only close the drapes and try to keep the room as cool as possible. It would make a big difference to just put a fan in the room like i have seen in much less expensive hotels. But at night time it cools off and you can open the patio door. I was near the restaurant which made that an issue too due to noise. Other rooms might be better. The area is stunning and the place is very pretty but not for $350-400/night.

Underpromise overvale.. The rooms and the hotel itself need a lot of maintenance. It is located in a very nice area, but it is a 3 star hotel at most. The doors do not close properly, there is mold on the wall in the corner of the bathroom. It is clean, but the furniture is old. Breakfast is poor compare with other 4 star hotel. Very expensive. For this price you can get a 3 star Hotel feeling and 2-3 star breakfast. Staff are reslly nice.
