My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was just lovely. The views are out of this world, the staff was super friendly, their wellness area included a jacuzzi, swimming pool, two saunas, a small gym and a chillout area to relax. The rooms were very comfortable and overall clean. The front desk is quick to help you with whatever questions you'd have. We asked them for hiking places nearby and got a full list of available hiking tours for us to choose from with super detailed information on all aspects of a hiking trip! We are definitely coming back next year - Thank you Seehotel Kastanienbaum for a lovely vacation.
It’s a well located hotel with a quiet beach and a small spa. The restaurant offers a great view, although the selection of food is limited. Although there were enough staff and some staff were nice, the service is a bit lousy.
Charming hotel in a beautiful lakeside setting, ideal for a peaceful stay. However, the facilities are quite basic — more like a boutique hotel. Breakfast is average with limited variety, and there’s no air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable in summer. Opening windows helps, but mosquitoes are a problem. Service was disappointing: staff were not flexible with room requests, and we were asked to pay extra for an upgrade that was actually cheaper online. Overall, decent value if you're mainly after the view, but expect some compromises.
