This lovely resort-like hotel and restaurant boasts a great location that made us feel right at home and very welcome. The private beach is beautiful, and the availability of paddleboards and e-bikes adds to its charm. If you’re planning a special vacation in Mondsee, this place is highly recommended. The food is exquisite and incredibly tasty. We eagerly anticipated dinner each day, and the service provided by Mr. Philip and the team was exceptional.
We decided to spent the valentines weekend in the Seehotel Lackner which ended up being a very good decision. Enough parking space in front of the hotel, very kind and helpful staff but mainly very clean and spacious rooms. We even received free upgrade to junior suite which was an amazing surprise! The restaurant might be little bit pricier but the food is local, very high quality and delicious so every euro spent is worth it. The private "beach" must be awesome in the summer. Saunas are available in the top floor also. I would highly recommend anyone to spend here couple nights, try few local wines and cuisine. I would also recommend to book directly on their official website to support these local businesses which are really trying their best to make your stay unforgettable. See you soon, Mondsee.
This is a review about the restaurant. The view is amazing and the service is ok. But the food is simply not good. Absolutely not worth the price. Add a 5€ - charge/person (including children) for bread (not indicated anywhere) to pricy food, with meat of poor quality, a total disappointment. A real shame as the restaurant terrasse is perfectly located in a beautiful area. I am updating this following the response from the owner to clarify that, having booked two days in advance after having checked the menu and type of restaurant, I did NOT expect home-cooked style food with plenty of children options, I was expecting gourmet (Michelin-style) food, with quality products. The products (venison hard, veal fillet with chunks of fat) were of the worst quality I ever experienced in this kind of restaurant (or actually: any restaurant) and the cooking was at best nothing special - that is the kindest comment coming from my husband about his fish, the funniest was my son’s about his pasta with vegetables which looked quite nice but turned out to be « Mum’s food except it’s bad. »
