I recently stayed at Seehotel Sternen in Horw, and it was an incredible experience! The hotel is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The restaurant is a true highlight, offering a fantastic menu with delicious dishes made from fresh, local ingredients. Each meal I had was a culinary delight, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The stunning views of the lake added to the overall charm of the hotel. I highly recommend Seehotel Sternen to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch accommodations and dining. Tourists should make the trek here rather than stay in Luzern. One can get good quality food like in the city — without the poor customer service. In Restaurant Sternen, the workers are all friendly and efficient. As an American who now lives here, I found myself missing the „chit-chat“ of restaurant staff. Here, the employees were not shy about having small conversations with our table. Also, almost four different people made sure our table was doing fine. I was surprised to find this caliber of customer service in Switzerland. We didn’t stay in the hotel because our house is nearby, but it‘s nice to meet here for drinks and/or dinner. The outside eating area is right on the water. An alternative to an expensive dinner is to sit at any of the small tables overlooking the water and the gorgeous view of the mountains (the view never seem to stop inspiring even one lives here). The food is healthy and fresh at typical Swiss prices, so might as well come here the eat in the city with poor customer service.
Functional, clean and warm room (it was winter). Excellent staff, very attentive and kind. Breakfast was the highlight, with a huge selection and great quality. Opportunity for lovely walks leaving from the hotel even with foggy weather. Cannot wait to come back to see it in the summer!
