SeePark Hotel Murten

We stayed here for 1 night in March 25, the room was very large, comfortable bed, helpful staff, and good breakfast. We stayed with our dog, and it c. 300m from the lake for dog walks, and prob about 1km (perhaps a bit less) into the town centre, but you can walk along the bank of the lake most of the way so its a pleasant walk. The town is def. worth a visit - well preserved, good choice of bars and restaurants, climbing up to the ramparts gives lovely views over the rooftops and surrounding countryside.

Super nice experience in this hotel. Very polite staff, close from the lake, amazing place.

Avoid This hotel if you are only speaking English (and probably otherwise too) There is no real staff. seemingly roughly 3 people maintain and work in the building at any given time, with a virtual reception. Should you encounter any issues they are most likely unable to help. My wife double paid by accident (due to them not being able to verify prior payment) and despite saying they will sort it out in 5 days they haven't been able to correct the error they made in the first place in 4 weeks. Seemingly they have no idea how to fix it, or they do not want to, which is even worse.
