Overall a really nice hotel, I enjoyed the stay very much. The staff was really professional, kind and helpful. The food was very tasty. I especially liked how detailed the menu was, with markings about allergens and vegan or vegetarian. It made it really easy to choose. The room was big and comfortable, I really liked the separation between the toilet, shower and the sink area. The problem with the room was also in this separation, because it's impossible to get ready in the evening or in the morning without completely waking up your partner since the sink is in the room. The temperature control lights are too bright (also next to the sink so the light additionally reflects in the mirror), lighting up the room when it's dark. It was very difficult to cover. The location is on a busy street so we could hear quite a bit of traffic even with the windows closed.

PROs: - friendly and helpful staff. - despite being on a busy road, the rooms face the other side, and have a view towards the garden and the river. - free & spacious parking - dogs are allowed (no extra tax) CONs: - The hotel restaurant is expensive (> 75 euro for a family of 3), and doesn't really justify the price in terms of quality (food is good, but not exceptional). They also include "gedäck", which automatically increases the price of every meal by roughly 7-10 euro. (they bring some bread with butter and charge you for it) - Bathrooms are too "funky" and poorly designed, so don't choose this hotel if you value your privacy or have kids. The sink is in the room, with no separation from the rest. The shower has direct access from the room, and no door or curtain, so good-luck if you are travelling with teenagers! All humidity from the shower will go straight into the room. If you have to use the toilet in the middle of the night, you will wake up everybody else. This trend of "open" bathrooms is an abomination and has to stop. Please make bathrooms normal again! Nobody needs to see you brushing your teeth, using dental floss or cleaning your ears, trust me! - Photos seem to suggest there is a second swimming pool, outside. I did not find it or see it. So the hotel only has one medium-sized swimming pool, which is inside. LOCATION: - just on the outskirts of Klagenfurt. Getting into the city is easy if you are coming by car, but will take 30 minutes or more by bus. (bus stop nearby). - a very nice park just next to the hotel. Mini-Mundus and the Reptile Zoo are just across the street. - you will have a hard time finding other restaurants within a 15-min walking radius, but if you are willing to walk for 20-min or more or drive, it's fine. - the hotel is ideal if you want to explore nature around Wörthersee. (beyond just Klagenfurt)

If you like hotels that feel like they gave up on life years ago, this is the place. Upon check-in, the reception staff simply pointed us to our room without explaining where to find the gym, spa, restaurants, bars, or anything else the property might offer. No local recommendations, no enthusiasm – just the bare minimum. Apparently, guessing is part of the experience. The room? Big enough, separate toilet, wash room and sink in the room. Unfortunately our room was not ready to welcome guests - the sink area was a masterpiece of dust, stickiness, and general grossness. I asked for it to be cleaned, pointing out exactly what needed work. Reception promised someone would “take care of it.” No apology, no embarrassment. Spoiler: nothing was done or it was done so poorly that it made no difference. There was no follow-up or acknowledgement. Furniture looks like it remembers better days, curtains could use a meeting with a washing machine, and the whole place radiates “tired.” Not worth the 250+ Euros price tag. In short: there are plenty of hotels out there that still try. Pick one of those.
