Sehzade Hotel

We had such a big problem with our reservation in this hotel, they didn't have room for us even if I checked twice with owner through messeges by booking site, so they put us in some dirty motel nearby, the door was broken and we didn't feel safe there. When they finaly had free room for us, the insisted that we pay in cash instead with card and comunication was very hard because nobody speak english there. Parking space was okay and safe, but location is not the best.

1. Pillows smell other people, 2. Toilet was dirty with poop remains (even from check-in) and when we called her to give us some cleaning products to clean it ourselves, she flushed it and said it was normal and left the room closing disrespectfully the door, check photo. 3. Air-condition dropped water on bed and on floor, check photo. 4. Sheets were changed frequently but there were marks and stains on. Most likely, I could send it for DNA identification...check photo. 5. The worst part, even though there's info about card-payment availability, she asked me for cash, but due to high charges of my bank for cash withdraw (20€), I insisted on paying with card and said ok. Same day, a man with a POS device comes for the payment and tells me that there's some issue with the device and could not get payments more than 4.000 TL and asked if we could divide the total amount of 12.000TL to 3 payments of 4.000 and I confirmed. First payment request was 4.000TL and paid it. Second was 8.000TL, I paid it and I said we are fine, aren't we?? And says, no, this is just the total of 2 payments of 4.000TL which actually wasn't true (anyone can check his balance at any time). Luckily, he seemed to accept I was right. I'm not saying he wanted to scam me, but payment issues are the first rule that you have to be careful in order to obtain trust. check photo The 3rd or 4th day, the lady asked if we wanted to move to the room next door, but it was too late for me to change my mind. The whole experience affected our trip.

ABSOLUTLEY NOT RECOMMENDED. The bathroom was nasty it smells so bad. Ants all over the place along with little cockroach. We had to use the same towels for 2 days in the row unless if you ask for the clean ones. The cleaning lady opened the doors while we were sleeping without knocking the door. The manager was ok at the beginning. We paid a little extra and we stayed in a real hotel less than a mile from that place.
