We initially thought we had booked a room with a private onsen, but upon arrival, we discovered there was no such booking. Instead, we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor without a private onsen. The room and service were satisfactory, but the surrounding scenery was unremarkable, and the dinner was average, not exceptional. While it’s a decent option for first-time travelers to Japan, I don’t think I would return, despite the good service.
This inn is in a very beautiful onsen town. The room and the service are definately 5 stars. The onsen rooms are also very nice and relaxing. As to the dinner it is decent but not amazing. There also isnt much places to visit in this town however if u like a quiet escape then definite do consider visiting this place.
It’s generally fine, not bad. However, I wouldn’t recommend it to those who frequently stay at high-quality ryokans. The food was quite simple compared to a 4-star ryokan in other places. I felt that the kaiseki lacked variety and attention to detail compared to other ryokans. Again, it’s okay for foreign visitors who stay in first time in Ryokan, but for those with extensive ryokan experience, it might not be as satisfying.
