If ever in Actopan...Sendero Hotel is the BEST. It has the most beautiful view of its church built in the 1500's those that can appreciate art will fall in love with the view and the sound of its bells that in the dark could be confused for a quaint town in Europe. Sendero is steps away from EL CENTRO...the heart of the town. There you find anything your heart desires in regards to foods, drinks and local farmers market. El Sendero is like coming home-Roberto, Christian and Erwing are always so helpful. Carlos is on point when it comes to making you feel welcome. Due to everyone's cheerful disposition we felt important to reveal this special gem. We have stayed in Hotels all over Mexico, Europe and the United States- our main focus is safety and cleanliness ...we honestly call El Sendero -our casa. Just this past weekend we celebrated our Anniversary my husbands comment was... "This is better than our hotel stay in Paris,France." If you are looking for a quaint, clean, friendly and safe place to stay this is your place.
A beautiful hotel at the heart of the city of Actopan. With a nice restaurant that serves all of the local dishes (definitely try the chilaquiles!) and with a well stocked up bar. It’s only a small walk away from the historically rich Church and Convent of San Nicolás de Tolentino and busy town center. The rooms are spacious and well maintained by the friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable stay as well as a first hand experience of the local culture of this beautiful city. A truly great experience!
