The best resort we have stayed in Zanzibar! A barefoot luxury hotel with best service ever! The attention to details is amazing! Food is absolutely delicious, based on all inclusive menu, everything freshly cooked by the chef, fine dining dishes. There is also a Japanese restaurant on place, with live show cooking, again delicious food and funny chef (make sure to book your time slot once you check-in at the reception). The rooms are spacious and comfortable, beautiful minimalist design, loved the outdoor palmtree shower!! The pool is great to spend the afternoon, after a beach day only few steps away. The beach is public yet sort of private, but it is super quiet and intimate and no vendors will come to bother you, like in Paje or Nungwi. We had a great stay here and would definitely choose to stay here again.
A little breakaway that I call Heaven. Beautifully positioned on the beach, shoes are not required the entire stay. The rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable. Staff is attentive and extremely polite. Delicious meals are served and a nice variety of options for all types of diets. Sat on a beautiful beach to go swim in the warm sea, or a beautiful romantic walk on a very long secluded beach. Beautifully positioned on the Ireland to allow for exploring with the tour guides. The pool is exceptional and the bar service is on point. If you're feeling like a romantic getaway for singles retreat, this place is highly recommended. Meditation circles and yoga our daily practice. This place is all about rest and relaxation. Paradise. I will be back.
Unfortunately, this hotel was a disaster. The service is absolutely pitiful. Not worthy of a 5-star rating. The manager takes the customers high, doesn't listen and is haughty. We had problems and the hotel didn't want to know anything. Answer "It's not our problem." Thank you for the 5-star Palace service so-called. The service is deplorable. You wait 50 minutes for a carafe of water at the pool. You order food by the pool, the meal arrives 45 minutes later without bringing you the drinks before and they arrive when you finish the meal. At breakfast you must claim every 3 minutes. You are brought a teaspoon of jam every time. You end up giving up. When you're in a hotel that's said to be 5-star palace or you pay $1,300 per night by staying there for 12 days, it's ineligible. It is a hotel that nevertheless has an absolutely beautiful setting. But unfortunately for them, there's only that. If you stop one night it will be fine. But don't spend a holiday.
