Sense Sunset Hotel Seminyak

Loved my stay in this hotel! The staff were very helpful and friendly and my room was cleaned every single day and always spotless! The pool is beautiful and the hotel is very clean with good options for room service. I will definitely be back here! Thank you

To be honest, I feel a bit disappointed. The first time I complained about a perverted neighbor—someone in the room next to mine who was clearly watching me—the hotel receptionist didn’t seem to take it seriously or make much effort to move my room. I felt really uncomfortable spending the night knowing there was a man right next door keeping an eye on me every time I stepped out. I was originally placed in a Superior Room (Room 5**0), which smelled moldy the moment I entered. There were no towels, no hairdryer, and I saw baby cockroaches near the shoe rack. The door didn’t even have a double lock, which made it feel unsafe and not very humane. After that, I upgraded to the Deluxe Room with Balcony. It felt a bit better, but I started to notice other issues. The curtain only had one thin layer—unlike other rooms that had proper double curtains for privacy and light blocking. The room was also quite loud every night. I could hear everything—kids crying or yelling, someone knocking on doors at 2 AM... all of it echoed into my room. The bed was a Hollywood twin setup (two single beds pushed together), and they couldn’t even provide a single blanket—just two separate ones. There was no power outlet in the bathroom, which made it inconvenient for doing makeup or drying my hair. The bedroom lighting was dimmer than the bathroom, so getting ready was even harder. The TV? Still couldn’t be used properly—only a few local channels were available. No Netflix, no YouTube. The sanitary kit? Only a dental kit was provided. That’s it. Honestly, this was supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but it felt more like 2 stars.

Lost Money – Very Disappointed with the Experience I stayed at this hotel recently, and everything seemed fine—until the moment I checked out and realized that money had gone missing from my bag. I didn’t carry the money around and had kept it safely in my luggage during the entire stay. I'm 100% sure it was there before. I hope the management takes this kind of situation seriously and improves security as well as staff accountability. I’m leaving this review to warn other guests: please be very careful with your belongings.
