If I would need to pick my best "budget friendly" Hotel, this would be it. The location is probably the best in Tokyo. Located right in the heart of Shibuya, nothing is farther away than 5 minutes. Because of the height of the building in nearly every apartment you have great views. I first went here 2024, not knowing what I picked I was positively surprised. So much so, that I returned 1 and a half years later to visit this establishment again. Can only recommend!
Incredible hotel and definitely worth the price! The room was large and fit our (my wife’s and my) three total suitcases. We stayed for about 5 nights and were comfortable. The room did get a little hot at times because the AC may have a default setting, but it wasn’t bad or bothersome. The view in our room was incredible, as you could see the entire park and we had a corner room, which we didn’t know we’d get when we booked it. The room was very clean and was serviced about every other day. There is a cafe within the hotel, and there is a food hall that is only about 50 yards away from the inside of the hotel. You just walk through the park to get there. Also, it’s about a 10 min walk from Shibuya Station, which isn’t bad at all, and there’s a bus stop about 3 min away. Location was great, and hotel was great. The concierge also helped send our luggage to Kyoto, which was about $45 (based on the weight and size of our three suitcases). The ONLY downside to this hotel is there are no laundry machines, but we went to a laundromat that was a 10 min drive away.
This hotel is more like a hostel but it unfortunately is overpriced. Don’t do it. Not worth the money they charge. Loud, noisy rooms. Small, uncomfortable beds with only 1 pillow. Minimal amenities like I mentioned: hostel-like. Room needs to be more clean. I visibly see garbage sitting in the hallway outside.
