Serendipity Rooms

Serendipity rooms was a nice place for us. We stayed for 2 night in Milan. The place is small and it is literally just a room and a toilet. The communication with the staff was clear and it was easy for us to get in even though we came off opening hours. One minus is the walls between the rooms are thin, meaning we could hear everything our neighbor was talking about. But it isn’t a major issue, since there is only 4-5 rooms all together

Room was nice, however it was a bit basic and price wise not including breakfast affected the score. The reception people were very nice, the room was ready 30 mins before check-in and clean. Location is very good, close to all important attractions and close to good restaurants for a good meal.

March 31-April 2025 My first reaction was that our room had a very strong, unpleasant bleach smell. And then at night, we found it was INFESTED with hundreds of ants… this made me wonder whether the overpowering smell of cleaning products may have been a short term fix to get rid of the ants for a few hours… As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the accommodation setup is quite unusual—just a few rooms in what feels like an old office building. The hallways are empty and quite dark, and the room doors don’t have numbers. Our door was wallpapered the same as the wall, so I thought it was a cleaning closet door! On the plus side, the check-in staff member was genuinely friendly and welcoming! Also the location is good too. The management ended moving us to another accommodation but it took a lot of time and effort to get some money back. As mentioned on many of the other reviews, they make it very difficult to receive refunds and it’s up to you to chase it until they reply. Very unprofessional and disappointing. We had the “junior suite” room which was spacious. They even had a small fridge with complimentary drinks. Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy our stay because of the ants and were disappointed at how the management handled our inconvenience.
