I had a pleasant stay at Hua Ge Hot Spring Hotel. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The furniture could use a little update, as some areas felt a bit dusty and worn, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The hot spring experience was relaxing, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making my stay enjoyable. While the hotel is showing some age, it still offers a comfortable stay with great service.

The room and bed is very spacious! Things are clean and the toilet has everything you need. With the onsen, you can just relax in your room. Staff also showed a decent level of hospitality! They greeted and welcomed us every time we passed by the entrance. I didn’t even touch the main door! And a nice lady proactively asked me if I need an extra egg for my delicious and fulfilling breakfast buffet. Con: the hotel is a bit far away from the train station, it takes around 12 mins to get there.

My parents grew up in Yilan and immigrated to Canada, where I was raised. Whenever we return to visit their hometown, we always come to stay at this hotel. 1.Their hot springs are top-notch and the staff is helpful and friendly, especially their front desk. 2. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and their bathrooms are great. There is a large and very deep bathtub in each room that fills up with hot spring water, and it's always hot and refreshing. 3. The breakfast buffet is something I always look forward to. Their Yilan and Jiaoxi specialties are authentic and have never disappointed. For those who find the local dishes unfamiliar or have dietary restrictions, they also have a wide selection of Western and vegetarian foods. 4. Best of all, it's near the local attractions--within walking distance of the transit station and the main street. While the exterior of the hotel is not as beautiful as the newer hotels in Jiaoxi, this established hotel has been in business for a long time for a good reason. Also: if you have kids, this hotel will be a hit. I have fond memories of running and splashing around their kid-friendly play area in my childhood.
