It is a fairly new hotel. Liked: Tucked in the hill, Serene Kandy gives you a real good feel of the city. Great view, with a little view of the Kandy lake. The rooms are good and spacious with wall to wall carpet. Disliked · The food spread is limited. Single bathroom in triple premium room - should have at least two.
The level of service is five star. Rooms are clean and nice. Rooftop pool and bar very nice. I was able to book a last minute massage at night which was over priced but good. Food is decent. 15 minute walk down the hill to town and the lake.
The staff here is absolutely incredible! My partner had a medical issue, so he needed to see a doctor in the middle of the night. Two members of their staff, Kavinud and Sachintha, took us to the hospital and stayed with us the whole time to help translate and ensure we were well taken care of. We didn’t get back until 2am! We can’t thank them enough. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and well located, but the best part is the staff who are truly remarkable.
