It is a fairly new hotel. Liked: Tucked in the hill, Serene Kandy gives you a real good feel of the city. Great view, with a little view of the Kandy lake. The rooms are good and spacious with wall to wall carpet. Disliked · The food spread is limited. Single bathroom in triple premium room - should have at least two.
The level of service is five star. Rooms are clean and nice. Rooftop pool and bar very nice. I was able to book a last minute massage at night which was over priced but good. Food is decent. 15 minute walk down the hill to town and the lake.
We initially checked into a different hotel and it was disastrous. Checked out from there in the morning and checked into Serene Kandy. It truly turned out to be a serene place in Kandy! The family room was like a suite with a pantry and had 1 king bed and 1 single beds. The bathroom was well kept and with good fittings. The staff was amazing and very helpful and kind. The restaurant served delicious food (we offered ala carte). The rooftop infinity pool was a site to see! Everything was perfect. We stayed 2 nights with my wife and 2 children and enjoyed the stay very much. Wish to thank the manager and the whole staff including the very kind security personnel 🙏🏽
