The hotel is much better than its pictures. The elevators were so fast, room services were very good. Breakfast had good alternatives fresh juice and we could order different kinds of omelets. It has good access to everything. Neighborhood is lively and full of shops. I think if there was a pool in the hotel, the hotel has a potential of getting 5-star.

The experience was quite positive overall, as the hotel is beautiful, modern, recently renovated, and of excellent quality. Check-in was slow and a bit complicated due to the inexperience of the young staff present at my arrival. The room was very clean, with an extremely comfortable bed and thoughtful details I appreciated — like pillow spray, complimentary water, a welcome kit, fresh towels, bathrobes, and slippers. What I didn’t like so much was the bathroom layout, which was split into three separate areas: sink, toilet, and shower in the toilet area. There was no bidet or handheld spray, and the toilet brush was missing. I also didn’t particularly enjoy the automatic elevator system — it was slow and quite complicated to use. Other than that, I had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was excellent.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told we had to pay an additional €800, even though we had booked an all-inclusive package (ticket and hotel) for €2600. After a long, pointless discussion, and finally asking for the manager to come and resolve the issue, we were told, with a blush, that they would look into it later. The room itself was much smaller than in the photo, but upon arrival, it was clean and tidy. The next morning, when we went downstairs, they apologized for asking for the extra €800 and offered the excuse that bookings had fallen through before. We also had to ask several times for towels and extra toilet paper. The staff were very snarky and unhelpful, even disinterested, except for the man in charge of the restaurant and terrace. The hotel's central location makes up for it a little, but the other drawbacks outweigh the other negatives. I won't be staying at the Sh Colon Hotel again.
