An unforgettable stay — peaceful, grounding, and beautifully intentional. Shambhala is truly something special. From the moment we arrived, we felt a deep sense of calm and connection. Tucked away in nature but just moments from the beach, it’s the kind of place that instantly slows your heart rate. Every detail — from the rose quartz and jade at the entrance to the spa, sauna, and oceanfront views — felt considered and sacred. We stayed in the two-storey, two-bedroom retreat and absolutely loved waking up to the sound of waves, having coffee on the deck at sunrise, and winding down with dinner on the deck (loved the cabana) each evening. It was the perfect space for our Ritual Reset — a deeply intentional few days of rest, reflection, and reconnection. The team were so warm and welcoming, and their hospitality made the experience even more special. We've had so many people ask about our stay, and we can’t wait to come back. If you're looking for somewhere to reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, or simply the present moment — this is the place. Thank you for everything, Shambhala 🌿 – Michelle & Martin

Our family of 5 and our two chihuahuas stayed in the SARITA villa. The property is amazing, conveniently located a short drive out of town, but serenely quiet due to this. The beach access was amazing, the facilities on site were amazing too. We loved the private spa, and the sauna and steam room. The villa itself comfortably housed our family with ease. Unfortunately with cyclone Alfred bearing down, the beach wasn’t overly inviting for swimming, but was still beautiful for beach walks. The cyclone cut our stay short too, however, we will definitely stay again!

My friend booked three nights in the Shanti Cottage for my 60th birthday. Whilst we completely understand that management has absolutely NO control over the weather, they could have let us know that the steps down to the beach had been washed away. The first night we stayed, the smoke detector went off in another cottage around 11pm and went for some time. We had to call someone to come and switch it off. We were given a bottle of bubbly & block of chocolate for the inconvenience of being woken the previous night. We asked for a bath mat which was missing from one of the rooms, which we were told we would get, and we did not. The second night we were there, our TV screen stopped working. We messaged management the next morning and were advised someone would be around to have a look at it later that day. No one showed, so we went two nights without a TV in the lounge room. The cottage smelled damp and the cupboards and drawers smelled of mildew and mould. The bedrooms have several windows that don't have coverings, so the rooms get light early. Overall, the cottage could do with some love - new furniture, new fittings, etc - it was all rather tired and smelly. On the last night when using the sauna, the lights stopped working. We didn't even bother notifying management given our previous experience. The chlorine in our spa was so strong, I ended up with a rash on my back. Considering the amount of money we spent to stay in this facility, we definitely felt ripped off and taken advantage of. The gardens and location are wonderful, it was just so disappointing that our cottage was such a let down.
