Shangri La Bangkok

Beautiful old-world luxury on the Thai side, which was more peaceful and charming, perfect for us. The room was spacious with a stunning river-view balcony, and we particularly appreciated the two large pools, expansive gym (one of the largest hotel gym we've seen), and spa facilities. They thoughtfully celebrated our birthday and anniversary with decorations and cakes which was much appreciated! Some areas for improvement: the shower lacks a handheld head, toiletries were generic (same as those of another hotel), and the breakfast buffet, while offering quality options, was overcrowded and the coffee could be better. Also, the hotel boat from ICONSIAM stops early (around 5 p.m.), unlike others nearby. Overall, a memorable and luxurious stay with a few small areas for enhancement.

🙏❤️ ありがとうございます Noriko-san is the best staff I’ve met. She is very attentive and helps me fixed an important issue with expert skills and service mind. (For the issue, pls discussed with her) This is what the global brand wants to keep the hotel quality standard consistently high across the region. If I were a GM, I would never let a great staff like this go. The BEST Executive suite = the Club offering with the Best View >> recommend for a family FYI - I highly recommended Shangri-la hotel Bangkok to those who come as a family or for a business trip. I loved it here because I got engaged here 6 years ago - loving the Shangri-la brand since I stayed in its Jakarta location for 5 months and love the staff, service and business centre. Again, thanks to a great staff like Khun Noriko and the team. I love it here in Bangkok. PS - ICON Siam is good but I would recommend tourists to better visit Central World or Central CHIDLOM via BTS or Taxi - there are much more global/local brands there and better street food and things to look at in SIAM

Wife and I stayed here a couple weeks ago for 5 nights. Room was great. Common areas beautiful. Pools nice though we happened to be there during some loud construction by the main pool, so went to the other. Breakfast buffet was off the charts; tremendous selection and very well executed. Plus very comfortable seating layout, plenty of room between tables. But why I really wrote this review... We were really blown away by the genuine warmth of the staff. We didn't expect that at such a large property, but it was really impressive. They seemed to take pride in their work and have a true appreciation and respect for their customers. Thank you to the staff and kudos to the management for that welcome-home feeling. This was the only hotel we've stayed at in Bangkok so I can't compare to others. If the prices stay in range (for what you get), we'd absolutely stay here again.
