The Shangri-La Hotel, Beihai is an exquisite sanctuary nestled in the heart of this coastal gem in southern China. I did not stay overnight but I went to the hotel for lunch, swimming and gym, the gym and swimming facility is all inclusive if You stay overnight or you can pay a daily rate. Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by an ambiance of refined elegance. From the grand lobby to the meticulously designed rooms and suites, every detail exudes sophistication and comfort. Each accommodation offers sweeping sea views or lush garden vistas, enhanced by modern amenities that make it a true home away from home. My wife and I had your wedding reception at the shangri-la hotel. There were 250 people. They served wonderful food. Entertainment fireworks before we entered the lobby. Everyone there was so nice and kind. The restaurants and staff went out of their way to help. We return for the wait staff and wonderful food. Meeting friends over good food and wait staff that knows you is the best.

The hotel is famous for its top-notch hospitality and services, and I can’t deny it. From the entrance, lobby, check-in process, to sending our luggage to our room, it is perfect and smooth. The room is spacious with a carpet and a king-size bed. We also received a bowl of fruits, a set of toiletries, coffee and tea, and a fridge stocked with beverages (not free). They also provided essential items such as an iron (extra marks for that!), a hair dryer, and a hairband. The only things that I think could be improved are the bathroom, which has a somewhat dated 90s vibe, and the TV, which is still using LED technology. The pillows are just okay, not as comfy as they used to be. Overall, the hotel is perfect, from its location and Wi-Fi connection to the breakfast and its well-trained and professional staff.
