I missed the survey sent by the hotel, but I wish to express my views of staying at the hotel. Its like coming back home and I have stayed here for the last 8 years. I was having a slight cough during 1 of the days and the restaurant manager Kate Tao took note of it and prepared pear soup for me the next morning during breakfast. Michelle Li after my first stay, never ever forgot my face. Their team consisting of Aylwin, Angel, Summer, Jingxuan, Edison, Cyril and Tom took very good care of us and my guests who were thoroughly impressed. The view of the West Lake which is 5 mins away makes up for the slightly aged hardware. But I will always stay here if I am in Hangzhou. Good work Karl!
Stunning hotel. Amazing food and helpful staff. Just off of the West Lake so the views are stunning. Don’t think twice if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Hangzhou. Could do with some USB ports for charging, but that’s my own complaint :)
Hotel infrastructure is in need of significant renovation and upgrades. Leaking sink in the room, gym in the hall way, and impossible to get a coffee at 1645. Not sure why Shangri-La is doing this to its brand. New building that was recently added seems much better. But unclear how to tell these buildings apart when booking. Location is great. West Lake Impressions is a great show on the water close to the hotel.
