Shangri La Kuala Lumpur

We stayed for 3 nights but honestly would’ve loved to stay longer. The staff are so welcoming and honestly can’t do enough for you, they make the experience what it is. The amenities are fantastic, the pool area is a little city oasis and the spa is clean and beautiful. The gym is also the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel with a fab air con which is definitely needed. Our room was also really nice and clean, with a fab view of the city. Breakfast was lovely with lots of options including chocolate fountains! The robots for clearing are also very entertaining to watch. Arthur’s Grill also offers great food and views! Everything in this hotel is so beautifully thought out and we would definitely stay again!

Prior to our arrival, the hotel reached out via email to inquire about our preferences and needs, allowing them to prepare accordingly. This proactive gesture was much appreciated and set the tone for a well-organized stay. Upon entering our room, we were pleased to find children’s amenities already in place—an attentive touch that made our kids feel instantly at home. The quality of food and drinks during both the afternoon tea and evening cocktails was impressive. Everything was well-prepared and delicious, adding a touch of indulgence to our stay. The shuttle bus service was another considerate feature, making it easy for us to explore the area without hassle. **Areas for Improvement** While the overall experience was positive, there are a couple of areas that could be enhanced. The kids' activities, particularly arts and crafts, could be more engaging and creative. That said, the fish feeding activity was a relaxing highlight. Additionally, some room fixtures could benefit from more thorough maintenance checks. Unfortunately, my husband sustained a minor cut due to one such issue. Although the Duty Manager eventually handled the situation well and arranged for medical attention, the response time was longer than expected. **Final Thoughts** Despite these minor setbacks, we had a wonderful holiday. The atmosphere was calm and family-friendly, and our children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the thoughtful hospitality.

Started off as a bad experience but the manager Zakuan addressed the issue. Flew from New York to stay there again, loved it so much on my first visit 2 years ago. May not rush back. Loved the buffet breakfast, Horizon club and Japanese restaurant. We shall see. I do recommend the experience it is a great hotel.
